Job Purpose:

HME Group Companies are seeking Machine Operators to assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of various machinery. The machinery includes but is not limited to lathes, mills, saws, and grinders. You will help form metal parts and structural shapes according to blueprints and specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Tooling setups specific to each individual job ran through the shop
  • Control and adjust the settings of the machine used for drilling, tapping, and counter sinking plate
  • Load and unload materials with forklifts
  • Load programs via PLC’s and CNC’s
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
  • Perform assigned preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery
  • Check parts produced against prints/drawings that will be provided to you
  • Stage produced parts safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • Log and record readings for equipment and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma, Vocation Certification, or similar education preferred
  • Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
  • General knowledge of the construction industry and processes
  • General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

  • Communicate with operators from other shifts
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
