PROJECT ENGINEER
Work alongside experienced professionals to explore all areas of our company – in the field, shop, and office! Find what interests you most, decide your own career path, and become an expert in the steel fabrication and erection industry.
PART-TIME JOBS
Unlike other manufacturers, our part-time jobs allow students 16 years and older to work in our shops to gain experience before they graduate!
SHOP PRODUCTION
In the shop, you’ll play an integral role in the manufacturing process of structural and miscellaneous steel to help build America’s skyline, one beam at a time! All experience levels are encouraged to apply.
ESTIMATOR
As an Estimator, you’ll produce material and labor cost estimates and proposals for an array of construction projects.
CAD DRAFTER/DETAILER
As a CAD Drafter/Detailer, you’ll assist in the design and drafting aspects of steel fabrication. You’ll create 3D models using Tekla, and produce shop, assembly, and erection drawings for projects of all shapes and sizes!
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
As a Structural Engineer, you’ll assist in the design and engineering aspects of structural fabricated buildings.
PROJECT MANAGER
As a Project Manager at HME, you’ll manage steel fabrication and the erection of construction projects from start to finish.
PEMB ERECTOR
We’re hiring Erectors to join our new Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings Division. Travel across the Midwest and build PEB systems which include frames, girts/purlins, insulation, roof and wall panels.
IRONWORKER
As an Ironworker, you’ll travel to jobsites across the Midwest and assist in the field erection of steel structures. Be a part of building America’s skyline, one structure at a time.
ADMINISTRATION
We employ a variety of professionals to ensure successful everyday operations. From accounting to custodial services, you’ll find your fit at HME.
OTR TRUCK DRIVER
As an OTR Truck Driver, you’ll haul structural and miscellaneous steel to projects across America. Enjoy driving BAD HAAS trucks, seeing the country, and weekend home time.

UNMATCHED DIFFERENTIALS
We offer unmatched shift differentials from day one of employment for working night or weekend shifts. The following information doesn’t include yearly performance raises:
2nd & 3rd Shift (Night):
- Day 1 of employment = + $2/hr
- After 6 mos. = $4/hr total differential
- After 18 mos. = $6/hr total differential
Weekend Shift:
- Day 1 of employment = Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours
- Day 1 of employment = + $2/hr
