Machine Operator

Job Purpose:

HME is seeking Machine Operators to assist in the operation and preventative maintenance of various machines. The machines include but are not limited to drills, saws, plate processing machines and press brakes. Operators will process materials according to blueprints and specifications.

Shift & Shift Differentials:

(Also receive 90 day and  yearly performance reviews/raises based on performance)

Night Shifts

  • 2nd Shift = Mon-Thu 4pm-2:30am
  • Modified 3rd Shift = Mon-Thu 6:30pm-5am
  • 3rd Shift = Mon-Thu 8:30pm-7am

Night Shift Differentials

  • Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR
  • After 6 months = Additional $2/HR = $4/hr total differential
  • After 18 months = Additional $2/HR = $6/hr total differential

Weekend Shift

  • Fri, Sat, Sun 6am-7pm

Weekend Shift Differentials

  • Day 1 of employment = Work 36 Hours, Get paid 40 Hours
  • Day 1 of employment = Additional $2/HR

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Tooling setups specific to each individual job ran through the shop
  • Control and adjust the settings of the machines
  • Load and unload materials with forklifts
  • Load programs via PLC’s and CNC’s
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance on machines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Check parts produced against prints/drawings
  • Stage produced parts safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma, Vocation Certification, or similar education preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing operations or other related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with construction tools and equipment preferred
  • General knowledge of manufacturing preferred
  • General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and specifications preferred
  • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
