Job Purpose:

The General Manager will be the driving force behind CycleZone Powersports. They are responsible for the operation of the store, taking care of customers, driving sales, managing staff, and creating a great work environment for all team members. The right person looking to advance their career will be highly compensated in salary and commission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing direct reports
    • Directly oversees the Sales department (2-3 Salesman)
    • Parts manager
    • Service manager
  • Oversees Inventory utilization and proper accounting of inventory.
    • Reviews all major unit orders
    • Review parts stocking orders
    • Sets goals for inventory turns
  • Provides employee reviews and recommendations for advancements including:
    • Annual wage increases based upon merit
    • Position fulfillment based upon needs
    • Disciplinary action as required
  • Attend trade shows and other events representing dealership in professional manner:
    • 2-3 manufacturer’s trade shows annually.
    • 2-3 sales events / shows annually.
  • Directly reports to President providing:
    • Financial review of state of the store
    • Provides recommendations for product lines and suggested quantities to be kept on hand.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Accounting Degree or MBA required
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a dealership or retail store preferred
  • Must be able to read full financial statements
  • Must understand internal controls
  • Must have strong negotiation skills
  • Must be able to complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies.
