Job Purpose:

HME, Inc. is seeking an individual to assist in the design and drafting aspects of steel fabrication.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings
  • Analyze, design, and select appropriate steel member connections for projects
  • Submit requests for information (RFIs) to customers
  • Provide final checks of drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree in drafting or similar education
  • Experience with Tekla and/or 3D modeling software preferred.
  • Knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
  • Knowledge of current building codes and regulations
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
